PREY FOR THE BRIDE – Review – STACKED Rating
A group of bridesmaids travel to Napa for a bachelorette party and find themselves in great danger as a man wearing a wolf mask seeks revenge for the death of his friend.
“Prey for the Bride” is the latest flick to hit Tubi, and let me tell you, it’s a rollercoaster of disappointment. Greg pops the question to his girl Jordan, but things take a dark turn when their friend Kimi gets sliced up at the start.
Fast forward three months, and it’s bachelorette party time! Jordan and her crew head out to the boonies for a wild weekend. But hold up, there’s drama lurking in the shadows. Jordan’s ex-fiancé, who’s supposed to be crispy from a fire, might not be as dead as they thought.
With suspicious characters lurking around every corner and a wolf-masked psycho on the loose, the plot thickens faster than expired gravy. But here’s the kicker: the script takes a nosedive into boredomville, ditching juicy suspects for petty squabbles. And when the slasher action finally kicks in, it’s a parade of clichés and eye-rolling moments.
Think predictable deaths, a cringy game of Russian Roulette, and an ending so cheesy you’ll swear it belongs on a pizza. Even the cast’s performances can’t save this sinking ship. Plus, there’s barely any cool effects to distract from the snoozefest.
Sure, there are a few chuckle-worthy scenes, like the limo driver getting his kicks from swimsuit pics. But overall, “Prey for the Bride” feels like a bad blind date – you’re stuck with it, but you’re counting down the minutes ’til it’s over.
Bottom line: skip this one unless you’re itching for a major letdown. Save your popcorn for something with way more bite.
